Hiring Now: Fundraiser
The Brixton Chamber Orchestra is seeking an experienced fundraiser to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role, securing funding for our projects and initiatives by identifying suitable grants and crafting compelling proposals. They will also manage our personal giving scheme (BCO Supporters) and manage relationships with HNW donors. Much of this work can be remote, but presence in Brixton is required for performances and occasional meetings.

Job Requirements
- Proven experience in writing successful grant proposals, preferably in the charity or non-profit sector.
- Strong research skills to identify appropriate grant opportunities.
- Some experience in personal giving.
- Excellent written communication skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of all Funders, locally in London, regionally, internationally, including any Funds left from the European Union.
- Ability to work with the Corporate and Business sector to engage in funding, sponsorship, and joint eventing.
- Familiarity with the music education sector or non-profit organisations is a plus.
Job Responsibilities
- Research and identify grant opportunities that align with the charity's mission and goals.
- Write and submit high-quality letters and applications to secure funding from government agencies, trusts and foundations.
- Collaborate with the charity's leadership to gather necessary information and data to support grant applications.
- Maintain a calendar of grant deadlines on our CRM system and ensure timely submission of all required documentation.
- Track and report on the status of grant applications.
- Build and maintain relationships with funding bodies.
- Manage the BCO Supporters scheme, with the goals of increasing buy-in and revenue.
- Manage relationships with existing HNW donors.
- Identify HNW individuals and craft approaches.
- Identify leads for corporate funding and sponsorship.
- Work with other team members to craft approaches to businesses and corporations.
