With Coronation bank holiday weekend fast approaching, Brixton Chamber Orchestra is preparing a one of a kind carnival of culture for the residents of Brixton and Lambeth. Bank holiday weekend 6th - 8th may, BCO's Coronation Carnival will be coming to a street party/celebration near you.
Aiming to reach as many street parties, estates, LTN's, high streets, parks, playgrounds & markets as possible, throughout the duration of the bank holiday weekend. BCO's Coronation Carnival will showcase the very best of Brixton with live musicians, dancers and more surprises, providing sheer delight to the community.
BCO’s 7-piece roving band will be providing live party music of all genres, including a very Brixton take on the national anthem.
Local partners will be adding to the carnival vibe; Vauxhall’s Neon Performing Arts will be dancing in the streets and Brixton arts organisation Bureau of Silly Ideas’ animatronic dustbins and pineapple car will be leading the procession.
